Ren first joined the accounting and advisory firm Alloy, Silverstein, Shapiro, Adams, Mulford, Cicalese, Wilson & Co. in 1980 as a tax season temp and has since expanded his offerings and knowledge to include wealth management services through Alloy Silverstein Financial Services, Inc. He now leads the financial services team with over 40 years of experience in business and accounting.
In his current role as Managing Shareholder of the CPA firm, Ren oversees the firm’s services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, outsourced accounting services, bankruptcy, insolvency, medical practice consulting, and financial advisory services. Throughout his career, he has worked predominately with law firms, real estate developers and operators, computer consulting businesses, health care professionals, manufacturing companies, retail and wholesale organizations, and professional athletes, as well as helping individual clients plan to reach their financial goals.
Ren has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams as well as the health and life insurance exam. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University in 1978 and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
The NJCPA recognized Ren with the inaugural Volunteer Award in 2018 and named him a "50 Over 50" in 2013. Ren was also named a Top CEO/CFO (2016 and 2018) and a South Jersey Executive of the Year (2012) by South Jersey Biz. A charter member of Rutgers University Camden's School of Business Hall of Fame, Ren was named a Fifty Finest and a Top Ten Outstanding Alumnus in celebration of Rutgers Camden's 50th Anniversary, as well as recipient of the 2012 Scarlet Oak Meritorious Service Award from the Rutgers University Alumni Association.
Additionally, he serves in his community in his roles as member of the Dean’s Executive Advisory Council of Rutgers University, a past President and past Chair of the Global Board of Directors for INPACT Americas, and as an advocate for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women. Ren also champions the accounting firm's many community charitable initiatives, including paid volunteer time, group volunteer activities, multiple collection drives, and the firm's annual Adopt-A-Family gift program, benefiting 150 children in need each holiday season.
Ren lives in Medford, NJ and enjoys traveling throughout the United States. He is a former college baseball player, which has helped fuel his love of sports — he has a special soft spot in his heart for the Phillies. He enjoys hitting the fairways and working out at the gym or the track, and he values getting to spend time with his family.
